    1. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3.0Destrie Two Rivers is an orphaned half-Indian; Benedict Webster is a wealthy rancher’s son. The two were boyhood best friends who became secret lovers when they were eighteen. Then one night they were discovered and Destrie was beaten to within an inch of his life. Destrie immediately fled Coyote Forks and enlisted. Fast forward eight years. It’s just before Christmas and Destrie, an Army sniper, is on leave and returns to Wyoming to attend the funeral of his foste [...]

    2. You give, you take but what happens when both do this and then run from each other and the inevitable instead facing what's truly meant to be? This story touched on exactly this and it was quite the enjoyable read. There is a point when you want to knock their heads together and say Dudes! Just deal with it, it's Fated for y'all to just be. But seriously, although a short read for me it touched on real points and I enjoyed this Holiday read immensely. Therefore, it rated a 5 star on my scale.

    3. An emotional, angsty read with no 'quick-fix' to the relationship making the eventual conclusion oh so satisfying. The only quibble I have is that I wanted more detail of Destrie's journey of discovery.

    4. Meh. Destrie and Benedict were lovers in high school until Destrie left to join the army after Benedict's brother Jake and friends beat the crap out of them both. Eight years later Destrie returns when his foster father dies, and then returns a year later when his foster mother dies. Benedict can't leave because of the family ranch, Benedict has some secrets, Destrie has issues, they love one another for a fairly short book, the story touched on this over and over again. Can Benedict leave the [...]

    5. It was a good book, but after page 90 it felt like something was missing in the story, and the ending didn't make any sense to me. It was like the author wanted to end the book sooner so she left out some things that would make the book better and the story complete.

    6. I didn't like Ben on so many levels ot ruined the story for me. The way he behaved made me wonder if he cared for Destrie at all.

    7. I like the characters and their complex history together but the story just fell short in my opinion. It had a start stop kinda feel that just left me wanting more.

    8. ‘I’ll be Home for Christmas’ is a short M/M e-book novella from Adrianna Dane.Destrie ‘Two Rivers’ has returned home to Wyoming after an eight-year absence and his reason for leaving is sitting at the bar he walks into on his first night back. Benedict Webster – he was once Destrie’s best friend, then lover, until Benedict's elder brother viciously attacked Destrie and sent him packing for the United States Army.Destrie is back in town for his foster father’s funeral. But seeing [...]

    9. As teenagers, Destrie Two Rivers and Benedict Webster were best friends. When friendship became love, and that love got physical, not everyone they knew was supportive, to say the least. Destrie is badly injured in an attack and leaves their small home town to join the army.Eight years later, Destrie comes home for his foster father’s funeral and finds that some things never change. Not his feelings for Benedict, and not the prejudices of some people. Will the obstacles, past and present, in t [...]

    10. I have to be upfront and let you know that I could not finish this book.I have been a slash reader in fanfic circles for years and I was REALLY excited when published m/m romances started to really pick up. I love reading hot and steamy m/m love scenes and was initially excited to pick this book up.The plot and the characters pushed a lot of buttons for me, so I was all in. The idea of the military man and the cowboy just really, really does it for me, to the point that I have started writing on [...]

    11. 2.5 stars. I really wanted to like this book and it had a great premise, but it just didn't work. Ultimately, I found Destrie to be one of those people who is so self involved that they won't open their eyes to see what's going on around them - once they've decided something, that's the way it's going to be.I also found the story addition of Ben's son a bit pointless - the son lived in a different city, so it wasn't another reason to keep Ben from leaving, he was brought up only about 20 pages b [...]

    12. It sounds like a typical story of teen love finally being acted on before one gets run out of town. Then he returns. Well it's not like that. (view spoiler)[ He returns, then leaves again. Both of the MC have their reasons for not wanting to leave, or to stay, and it takes us a while to discover them.It did feel a bit convoluted when hints of other events are included like one of the characters having been married and had a son, and some connection to the death of the other characters mother. (h [...]

    13. Destrie Two Rivers and Benedict Webster, what a pair! Throughout the book I wanted to smack them, hug them or just take their head off! I was such an intense read, with filled with angst, hot chemistry and sad memories. I felt for both characters, at times I hated them too, but understood them as well. The book was well written, with very emotional and exploding scenes between the characters. A very enjoyable if at times frustrating read.

    14. I loved this. It was definitely in the high fours for me so I pushed it up to 5. I loved the story and the characters, not to mention all the emotion and hurt/comfort. I've already re-read it once and have plans to do so again because it was so endearing to me. It was also my first Adrianna novel and definitely not my last.

    15. I ended up really liking the characters. I found them to be a little more complex than your average MCs in a book that's only 132 pages. The ending was good, and the MCs definitely didn't rush things as the resolution was a year after the beginning of the story.I'd have likely given this book 3.5 - 4 stars but there were too many editorial mistakes to bump it up.

    16. First time reading this authorI really enjoyed the story.ough I had some trouble getting into the "groove" of the MC'st sure whybut they just never did "click" for me!!! I am searching the web as I type for another book by herI truly need something to compare this to!!! I am thinking that this was a "one-off" for med am excited to give her another try!!!

    17. I chose this for the m/m July reading challenge for a Christmas themed book. It was a fast read. There was a LOT of angst and at separate times I wanted to strangle Destrie and Benedict, but I did enjoy the read. A surprising part of their relationship was revealed toward the end. I would rec.

    18. Really 3.5 stars. An emotional story, full of angst and the weight of responsibility. Kind of a journey where to have what you want/need, you must compromise. Made me cry but not laugh, too close to real life choices. Well written but if you expect rose-colored glasses, forget it.

    19. The book was about 2.5 stars, both of the MCs pissed me off at different times, but the book did have it's moments, it felt rushed in places and then slow in others IMO.
