    1. The story idea is good, but I questioned some of the historical research like Livy writing with a stylus on parchment. I doubt a slave would have access to any writing implements, but even if she did, a stylus is only a stick used for scratching in wet clay, not a pen that leaves ink on papyrus or parchment. The modern-sounding dialog did not help me to believe I was in the first century either.
